Cole Porter’s classic feel-good musical, High Society comes to The Old Vic in a glittering new production!
With direction from multi-award-winning director and musical star Maria Friedman, High Society is based on the Philadelphia Story and the 1956 MGM film musical starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra. High Society features hit songs including 'True Love', 'You're Sensational', 'Well Did You Evah!' and of course 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?'
Long Island socialite Tracy Lord is planning her lavish summer wedding when her ex-husband appears to try and win her back. His unwelcome arrival threatens to disrupt proceedings. When tabloid reporter Mike Connor arrives to cover the nuptials, he too takes a shine to the bride-to-be. But which of these three suitors will she choose?

It was a great show, and I really enjoyed it, but had problems hearing quite a lot of the dialogue as I am deaf, but the hearing aids are not up to scratch any more, sadly. The music and dancing were terrific
Seems a bit dated - a celebration of alcoholism and misogyny. Also, really didn't care for the Katherine Hepburn impersonator - just dreadful.
Great show. Fabulous theater setting--intimate in the round. Talented cast. We saw the matinee on 8 August after having just arrived from the states, It cured our jet lag.
The show was excellent,witty,full of fantastic songs both original and new,the cast were fabulous with some familiar faces in roles I've never seen them in before,the theatre was amazing, the piano playing was amazing a thoroughly wonderful evening.
The production was outstanding such fun a really unforgettable performance we lived every moment

The whole production was innovative, charming and superbly executed. As my all time favourite film I was thrilled with The Old Vic's interpretation. Ab Fab!
