Set in Vienna in 1938 and in London during the Blitz, The Pianist of Willesden Lane tells the true story of Lisa Jura, a young Jewish pianist who is dreaming about her concert debut at Vienna’s storied Musikverein concert hall. With the issuing of new ordinances under the Nazi regime, everything for Lisa changes, except for her love of music and the pursuit of her dream – as she is torn from her family and set onto the Kindertransport to London.

A truly memorable and surprisingly uplifting experience The production and staging were beautiful and Mona Golabek gave a mesmerising performance Magnificent!
Very moving true story with told with real passion and beautiful piano playing.
We thought the show was amazing, and very emotional.
This was a moving beautiful true story beautifully portrayed through words, music played live on a Steinway with a poignant backdrop. I doubt there was a dry eye in the house. Loved every second
Excellent show, very moving story brilliant piano playing throughly enjoyed
It was very emotional, wonderful theatre performance. You were throughly immersed in the true story. Her daughter was a. fantastic pianist abd had the audience spellbound.
Amazing! One of the most moving and musically brilliant shows we have ever seen. Mona was wonderful ??
Beautiful account of resilience and hope in an extraordinarily sad period of time. Poetic and moving. The rhythm of the performance was like a tidal wave that stopped me getting stuck in a flood of pathos and tears. Inspirational description and testimony of strong parenting. Mesmerising piano playing and talent. Loved it.
Moving, beautiful production. Problem as always is the cramped seating . I am 6'2" and cannot sit in standard seats as my knees would go an inch beyond the seat in front. I can only go to productions if I get an end of aisle seat which means one leg can be in the aisle while the other is rammed against the seat in front and the arm rest is sticking in my side, also I get neck ache from having to view at an angle. At least take the arm rests off end of rows. Best would be to take the end of row seats that are curved and straighten them in line with the rest of the row which would give extra legroom there. This is a new build with the worst leg room in the west end. Worse than the balcony's of the Playhouse and Royal Court which is saying something. I cannot be the only one that finds going to your theatre a misrable experience comfort wise. I will continue to complain about this as I think its a problem you must address some time for the good of the theatre. I want to say that I really love your theatre. Along with the Donmar, Almedia, Menier, Tricycle, Hamstead etc you provide productions that cannot play anywhere else. Your staff are particularly helpful and friendly and I hope your theatre thrives and has continued success. Best wishes Tim
